Description: The Lezghi are the second largest ethnic group of Daghestan (one of the seven independent republics of southern Russia). This republic is located in the Caucasus Mountains between the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea. Most Lezghis live in high, rugged terrain where there are many deep and isolated canyons and gorges.
Prayer Points:
• The Bible has yet to be completed in the Lezghi language. Pray for increased blessing and strength upon those called to finish this task.
• The Jesus Film and Audio Bible Stories have been recorded in the Lezgi language. Pray for receptivity of these media resources, especially among those Lezgi who are primarily oral learners.
• There are only a few known believers among the Lezgi. Pray that they might be couragous witnesses for Jesus among their people.
A Prayer: Heavenly Father, may your love and mercy be poured out in full measure upon the Lezgi. Let them rejoice in the salvation of your son Jesus and exalt his name.
