Description: The Dargins are a large tribe of the Caucaus region of Daghestan, Russia. Two other related tribes, the Kubachi and the Kaitaks are in the process of being absorbed by the Dargins. They converted to Islam in the 14th century following the invasion of the Islamized Mongols.

• The Dargins have been tremendous stewards of the land, with creative terraced farming on the steep slopes of their terrain. Both men and women contribute equally to their agricultural productivity. Pray that from this dedication will come forth laborers for the gospel throughout Daghestan.
• The land of the Dargins has witnessed constant strife for centuries, as it is the gateway into Russia. Pray that their desire for independence might lead them to the freedom found in Christ, who alone can restore what the evil one has sought to take from them.
• The Darginians are famous for their unique architecture and artistry, especially silver work. They have a rich cultural heritage of folk dancing and singing. Pray that these traditions might be transformed through the gospel and become the vehicle for Christ-centered Darginian worship.
