Description: The Bhojpuri live in the border regions between the states of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. A significant number can also be found in Nepal and throughout the Indian diaspora. Their language is considered part of the Eastern Hindi cluster known as Bihari.

• The region where the Bhojpuri live have the lowest per-capita income in India. Infighting between castes has hindered the regions development. Pray that the redemption of Christ would bring unity and hope to this troubled land.
• The Bhojpuri were taken as indentured servants (virtual slaves) by the British empire to work in plantations all over the world. Pray for healing to come from this past mistreatment and that in these places believers might demonstrate the love of Christ in their midst.
• The Bhojpuri were once considered to be one of the most resistant peoples to the gospel in India. Some called their land the graveyard of Christian missions. Today a breakthrough has begun among them with many thousands coming to Christ. Pray for God's blessing on this movement and for Bhojpuri pastors and teachers to be raised up.
